Luka’s New Role: The Back-Office Team Leader at Z Omni Serve Shares His Insights

This month, as part of our theme highlighting the back-office team, we sat down with Luka Lazarevic – our newly appointed back-office team leader – to hear about his background, experiences, and plans for the future. Here’s what he shared with us.

Can you tell us a little about yourself and your background before joining Z Omni Serve Marketing?

“I graduated from Technical School, where I gained solid knowledge in technical disciplines. Before joining Z Omni Serve Marketing, I worked in positions that required precision and attention to detail, which helped me develop skills that are now essential in my daily work.”

What attracted you to the role of back-office team leader here?

“I was drawn to the opportunity to lead a team in a dynamic environment and to contribute to optimizing internal processes. Z Omni Serve Marketing provided me with a platform to use my skills and, together with the team, achieve high standards of efficiency.”

How would you describe your first few weeks in this new position?

“The first weeks were challenging but also very interesting. Moving from a night to a day shift brought a new dynamic, which further boosted my motivation and desire to prove myself in this new role.”

What does a typical day in the back-office team look like?

“A typical day involves task coordination, monitoring team performance, and making sure all processes run smoothly without delays. We also work on continuously improving processes to ensure a high level of service.”

Can you share some of the main responsibilities your team handles?

“We are responsible for data entry and verification, updating information, reconciling and correcting entries, as well as communicating with other teams.”

What are some common challenges your team faces, and how do you overcome them?

“One of the challenges is maintaining a high level of accuracy while handling a large workload and constantly shifting priorities. We overcome this through efficient communication, clear task distribution, and continuous training of team members.”

How does it feel stepping into a leadership role in a fast-paced marketing environment?

“It’s exciting and fulfilling. A fast-paced environment demands agility and the ability to make quick decisions, which further motivates both me and my team to constantly improve our skills.”

What leadership qualities do you believe are most important for managing a back-office team?

“Patience, determination, and the ability to communicate clearly are essential. It’s important to understand the challenges the team is facing and provide them with support so they can achieve the best possible results.”

How do you keep your team motivated, especially during demanding projects?

“I strive to provide an open and positive work environment, where every effort is recognized and appreciated. During demanding periods, it’s important to me that the team has a clear understanding of the goals and feels like an important part of our shared success.”

How would you describe the working atmosphere within your team?

“The working atmosphere is dynamic and focused on collaboration. All team members are committed to a shared goal and always ready to support one another when needed.”

What are your short-term and long-term goals for the back-office team?

“In the short term, we are focused on optimizing existing processes. In the long run, we want to implement automation wherever possible to increase efficiency.”
